The UKHSA has issued a 72-hour heatwave alert for almost all of England, with Greater Manchester now included. The yellow alert is in place until 9am on Wednesday. The agency warns of increased health risks for vulnerable people, added pressure on healthcare services, very warm indoor conditions, and a higher risk of water-related incidents.
