BREAKING UPDATE: Two Iranian men who arrived in the UK by small boats allegedly identified Manchester’s Jewish Museum and Heaton Park Synagogue as potential targets in an alleged homemade bomb plot, a court has heard.Salam Ahmadyan, 36, and Rahman Salehi, 34, were arrested in Manchester on 20 September 2026, shortly before Yom Kippur. They were charged on 2 October with offences relating to preparation for terrorist acts.Prosecutors allege the pair carried out reconnaissance of potential Jewish targets in Manchester and were involved in plans for a homemade explosive device.
