Florida officials have not yet moved to formally designate the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) a domestic terrorist organization, despite Gov. Ron DeSantis announcing the recommendation on July 1, according to a court filing. State attorneys told a federal court they cannot provide a timeline for when regulations needed to implement the designation will be finalized.
