*🇮🇱🇨🇴-Colombia Resumes Coal Exports To Israel* Colombia’s new president has authorized the restart of coal exports to Israel, lifting a restriction put in place in 2024. President Abelardo de la Espriella signed the order reversing the ban imposed under former President Gustavo Petro during the war in Gaza. Colombia was previously one of Israel’s top coal suppliers. The earlier suspension cut off millions of tons annually and cost the country hundreds of millions in trade. The move is part of a broader shift under the new administration to restore and strengthen ties with Israel.
