*🇺🇸-Two Newark Women Killed After Tractor-Trailer Overturns Onto Car On I-78* A Mack tractor-trailer overturned onto a stopped Chevrolet sedan this morning on I-78 eastbound in Newark near Exit 56, killing both women inside the car. The crash happened around 9:08 a.m. near milepost 56.8 in the local lanes. Police say the truck was traveling east when it approached the Chevrolet, which had stopped in traffic in the left lane. The truck driver tried to swerve but the trailer overturned onto the car. The driver, 42-year-old Ayesha Wright of Newark, and her passenger, 25-year-old Kendra Rouse of Newark, were killed. The truck driver sustained minor injuries. Lanes were closed for hours, causing major backups. The investigation is ongoing.
