*🇺🇸-Jobless Claims Come In Below Expectations At 203,000* New weekly jobless claims fell to 203,000 last week. That’s down 4,000 from a slightly revised 207,000, and a few thousand below what economists expected. CNBC’s Rick Santelli said the number remains historically low and still points to a jobs market with no flashing yellow or red lights. Continuing claims also eased to 1.778 million, a bit lower than expected after a small revision to the prior week. Layoffs are still running quiet. The four-week average is holding just above 205,000.
