*🇺🇸 🇮🇱-Israel Tells U.N. Hamas Disarmament Must Come First* Israel’s deputy ambassador to the U.N. told the Security Council today that Israel supports President Trump’s 20-point Gaza peace plan, but said the plan cannot work while Hamas is still armed. “The civilians of Gaza are not Israel’s enemy,” she said. “Our conflict is with Hamas.” She called Hamas a genocidal terrorist group that must be disarmed, stop governing Gaza, and stop terrorizing both Israelis and Gazans. Israel is committed to the plan, which the Security Council already endorsed in Resolution 2803. Her line to the chamber was blunt: “The plan cannot succeed while Hamas remains armed. Disarmament must come first.” That means Hamas weapons fully dismantled, its terror infrastructure destroyed, and its ability to rearm eliminated, as the 20-point plan already requires. The remarks came during a Security Council meeting that also focused on West Bank settler violence and the humanitarian situation in Gaza. Israel says it is working with the United States and the Board of Peace to carry that out.
