*🇺🇸-✈️Transportation Secretary Launches Campaign To Recruit Video Gamers As Air Traffic Controllers* Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced a new campaign aimed at recruiting video gamers to become air traffic controllers. The agency has also sped up the entire hiring process to bring in candidates faster. Results so far: 94% of the hiring goal has already been met, the fastest time on record. More than 2,000 controllers have been hired this year, the highest number in a single year. Another 2,000-plus top candidates are already in the pipeline and moving through the Academy quicker than any previous class. Officials say the streamlined process is helping build what they call the strongest aviation workforce in history.
