🇺🇸-Raccoon drops through ceiling at LaGuardia Airport and sends airlines passengers running! LaGuardia travelers got a chaotic surprise Monday morning when a raccoon burst through a loose ceiling tile near the Spirit Airlines counter. Security video shows the startled animal dangling from a cord for a brief moment before dropping straight to the floor. The instant it lands, passengers and airline workers scatterin every direction as screams echo through the terminal. The Port Authority said the commotion happened around 8 a.m., and the raccoon was safely captured a short time later. Officials confirmed that the animal was not hurt. Spirit Airlines also reported that no passengers or staff were injured. Airport crews are now working with a wildlife control company to locate entry points and put safeguards in place to prevent any repeat incidents. LaGuardia has undergone an eight billion dollar renovation in recent years and is often praised as one of the most improved airports in the country. The incident happened in Terminal A, which was not part of the major overhaul.
