*🇺🇸-DSA Co-Chair Calls October 7 Massacre “Largely Inevitable”* Democratic Socialists of America co-chair Megan Romer was asked about the Hamas attacks that killed about 1,200 Israelis. Instead of condemning them, she said the massacre was “largely inevitable.” Romer told The New Yorker’s David Remnick that conditions in Gaza, which she called an “open-air concentration camp,” made the attack expected. She also said she “probably would have” attended a pro-Palestine rally in New York the day after the killings. Joe Scarborough played the clip on Morning Joe and called the moment “unbelievable.” He urged Democratic lawmakers to distance themselves from the DSA.
