*🇺🇸-FBI Hosts Turkey Ambassador After $3.7 Billion Medicare Fraud Suspect Returned* FBI Director Kash Patel hosted U.S. Ambassador to Turkey Tom Barrack at FBI headquarters Wednesday and credited him with helping bring high-value targets back to the United States. Patel said Barrack has been a key partner in recent returns, including a suspect alleged to have run a $3.7 billion Medicare fraud scheme. That case involved Ibrahim Khaldoon Hilmi, who fled the U.S. in May 2025, was detained in Turkey, and was later transferred back to face charges. He was flown to South Florida in June. Patel said the FBI wants to expand the partnership further on counterterrorism, technology, and intelligence sharing.
