*🇺🇸-Bill Maher Admits On Air He Was Wrong About Trump Endorsements* Bill Maher walked back a claim from last week’s Real Time after President Trump texted him and sent charts showing the numbers were off. On the August 21 show, Maher said Trump “used to win all his endorsements” and was now “winning almost none of them.” On Friday, Maher said a “very upset” viewer contacted him directly. They text. Trump sent data. Maher had promised that if the line was wrong, he would say so on air. He did. Trump has endorsed 260 candidates this cycle. Nine lost their primaries. That is a 97 percent win rate. “He is right. I did overstate it,” Maher said. “That isn’t true.” He also said Trump “still has very powerful endorsements,” then added that the picture is “a little more nuanced.” His closer to the president: “Now, stop texting.”
