*🇺🇸-Gov. Lombardo Highlights Jewish Community Protections At Las Vegas RJC Summit* Nevada Gov. Joe Lombardo told the Republican Jewish Coalition’s annual leadership summit at The Venetian that his administration has been taking concrete steps to protect the state’s Jewish community. The RJC shared video of the remarks today as the Las Vegas gathering continued. Lombardo’s office has pointed to several moves already on the books. In December, he directed sheriffs and police chiefs to keep a visible presence around synagogues, Jewish community centers, and schools. He also convened a statewide Antisemitism Working Group with rabbis, ADL leaders, educators, and law enforcement. That group began meeting in January and was tasked with sending policy recommendations for the 2027 legislative session. Nevada also approved $750,000 in security reimbursements for the state’s yeshivas and Jewish day schools, a program Lombardo submitted and the Interim Finance Committee passed unanimously in 2024. The summit runs through Tuesday. Vice President JD Vance is also scheduled to speak in Las Vegas this evening.
