*🇺🇸-Vance Says Fed Should Cut Rates To Make Homes More Affordable* Vice President JD Vance said Thursday the Federal Reserve should lower interest rates to make homes more affordable. The comments came after CNBC’s Eamon Javers asked for the Trump administration’s view of the volatile U.S. bond market. Vance told reporters the administration believes current inflation numbers support a cut. “It is proper and it is responsible for the Fed to lower interest rates,” he said. He added the White House is already working to keep borrowing costs down, but “it would be nice to have help from the Fed.” Rising bond yields have pushed mortgage rates higher in recent weeks, making homebuying harder for families in communities across the country.
