US President Donald Trump on Tuesday rejected the idea that he was trying to force Iran back to talks and said Washington now held the stronger position in the Strait of Hormuz and on the economy “I’m not trying to force Iran to the bargaining table,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. Trump added that he did not care whether Iran signed an agreement. “I like our position now much better, with almost total control of the Hormuz Strait, and their economy totally collapsing.” Trump said Iran was “just playing out the inevitable” and asked: “When are the Iranian people going to rise up and fight?”
