*🇷🇸-Historic Steamboat Emerges From Drying Sava River In Serbia* A century-old steam tugboat known as The Slovenian is now sticking out of the Sava River near Sremska Mitrovica. Prolonged extreme heat and drought across Europe have dropped water levels so low that the rusting hull is more exposed than locals have seen in years. Built in 1913 in Budapest, the 54-meter vessel survived two world wars before hitting a German mine in April 1945 while carrying wounded fighters. It has sat in the same spot ever since. Serbian media are calling it “Sava’s Titanic.” Town museum historian Andrija Popovic said the sight is drawing fresh interest. “It’s truly something you don’t see every day.” The boat is about 70 kilometers northwest of Belgrade. Similar low levels have also uncovered other relics in rivers across the continent.
