*🇮🇱-Katz: Senior Hamas Terrorist Captured In Gaza City Raid* Defense Minister Israel Katz says a senior Hamas terrorist was apprehended a short time ago in Gaza. Katz said the arrest reflects Israel’s policy: “We do not wait for threats, but pursue Hamas terrorists, eliminate them and destroy their terrorist infrastructures.” The operation took place in western Gaza City and was followed by Israeli airstrikes after the raid was exposed. The IDF said it struck several targets to remove threats to its forces. No Israeli soldiers were reported wounded. Israeli reports identified the detainee as a senior figure in Hamas’s general security apparatus. Palestinian sources reported fatalities from the accompanying strikes and claimed the raid had been detected. Katz also warned that any further launches from Gaza will be met with a severe response.
