*BREAKING:* The U.S. has approved a potential $24.3 billion sale of 48 F-35 stealth fighter jets to Saudi Arabia. The State Department says the proposed deal would have “no adverse impact on U.S. defense readiness.” The State Department has formally notified Congress of the proposed sale.
