Britain has reportedly warned Israel that it could expel 27 Israeli diplomats from London if Israel moves ahead with closing the British Consulate in Yerushalayim, according to Ynet. British Ambassador Simon Walters reportedly delivered the warning to Israeli officials, threatening to expel one Israeli diplomat for each of the 27 British diplomats affected. Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar ordered the consulate closed effective October 8 in response to British sanctions targeting Israelis in Judea and Samaria.
