Persian Gulf oil exports have recovered to around 15–16 million barrels per day, roughly two-thirds of pre-war levels, as tanker traffic through the Strait of Hormuz continues to increase, according to Goldman Sachs.
Analysts say the recovery could help keep oil prices below $90 even if the war with Iran continues. Tankers are increasingly going “dark” and using ship-to-ship transfers to work around disruptions, helping push oil prices down to around $89 after they topped $120 in April.
