A review of 130 Syrian school textbooks has uncovered antisemitic material, the glorification of jihad and martyrdom, and the removal of Jewish history from educational materials introduced after the fall of Bashar al-Assad. Researchers also identified the promotion of Islamist ideology, the omission of minority communities and changes to science education.
