The U.S. House voted 232–147 to table an impeachment resolution against President Trump, effectively killing the measure before a vote on impeachment itself. Another 47 lawmakers voted present. The resolution was introduced by Democratic Rep. Al Green of Texas. The motion to table was backed by Republicans as well as some Democrats.
