President Trump plans to announce a series of executive actions Monday aimed at lowering diesel prices as high fuel costs weigh on farmers and other industries, according to POLITICO.
The measures are expected to expand access to tax-exempt red-dyed diesel used in farming and construction, encourage states to waive certain fuel taxes, ease enforcement of restrictions on dyed diesel and order a Treasury Department review of federal diesel taxes. Trump is expected to unveil the plan during a campaign stop in Nebraska.
