Pakistan reopened its Gabd-Rimdan border crossing with Iran on Saturday following a weeklong suspension, allowing stranded trucks carrying cooking gas and essential food supplies to resume movement.
The reopening comes amid wider disruptions to Iran's overland trade routes, including the closure of Iraq's Sheeb crossing. Pakistani authorities had also suspended trade through the Taftan crossing, with restrictions contributing to fuel shortages and rising prices.
