Boeing has identified a software glitch affecting some 737 MAX jets that could disable certain automated navigation functions during landing, potentially forcing pilots to take manual control after a missed approach. According to a report in The Wall Street Journal.
United and Southwest have refused to accept new aircraft with the affected software, while the FAA has opened an investigation. Boeing says the issue does not pose a safety risk and is working on a fix.
