President Trump’s longtime teleprompter operator, Gabriel Perez, has reached a settlement in an insider-trading case involving prediction-market bets tied to the president’s speeches. Perez agreed to give up $107,000 in profits from trades on Kalshi and pay a $65,000 fine. The CFTC said he breached his duty to keep government information confidential, while noting that his “exemplary cooperation” with investigators led to a reduced penalty.
