*IRAN STRIKE PLANS:* The United States is considering using the powerful GBU-43/B “Mother of All Bombs” in potential new strikes against Iran. The massive 21,600-pound weapon carries nearly 19,000 pounds of explosives and was previously used against ISIS in Afghanistan in 2017. CNN reports. The development comes as the Pentagon prepares options for renewed military operations against Iran. The bomb is designed to unleash an enormous blast across a wide area and differs from the bunker-busters previously used against Iranian nuclear facilities.
