British intelligence says it uncovered an Iranian spyware campaign targeting dissidents, activists and journalists worldwide, with state-linked hackers using fake documents and impersonating trusted contacts to install spyware known as “CHOSEN BRICK,” Sky News reports.
The spyware can steal messages, track movements and access microphones. British, U.S. and Dutch agencies linked the campaign to Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security.
