Police in India arrested a 32-year-old man suspected of carrying out an arson attack near the historic Kadavumbhagam Synagogue in Kochi, with investigators examining possible links to terrorist networks in Pakistan. Authorities suspect the man was paid by an unidentified online handler to set the fire and film the attack. Investigators are examining his communications and financial transactions, while security around Jewish institutions has been increased.
