A senior Iranian cleric revealed that Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei was wounded in the February 28 attack on Iran’s leadership office and later pulled from the rubble after a Tehran hospital where he was being treated was bombed. Ayatollah Mohsen Heydari said three hospitals were struck after Khamenei’s hospitalization became known. He said Khamenei recovered and was later determined capable of leading Iran.
