Yisrael Beytenu chairman Avigdor Liberman called Tuesday for dismantling Israel's independent Chareidi education networks, including Chinuch Atzmai and the Shas-affiliated Maayan Hachinuch Hatorani system. Liberman declared that government education funding should be restricted to state-operated school systems. Ynet reports. Liberman also predicted that Israel could have a Chareidi prime minister by 2048, warning of major demographic and economic changes. His proposal would directly threaten the independence and government funding of Torah educational institutions across Israel.
