Israel’s Supreme Court has ordered Shin Bet personnel who anonymously petitioned against the appointment of David Zini as head of the agency to reveal their identities to Zini within one week.
The petitioners had refused to disclose their names, saying they feared retaliation. Zini’s attorney argued they could not “take the law into their own hands,” while the court determined that a party to legal proceedings is entitled to know who is petitioning against them.
