Israel has condemned Libya's decision to ratify a controversial maritime agreement with Turkey, warning that the arrangement threatens stability in the eastern Mediterranean and violates neighboring countries' sovereign rights.
The agreement involves disputed waters believed to contain significant natural gas reserves. Greece, Cyprus and Egypt have also objected, while Turkey insists the agreement is lawful and protects its maritime interests.
