Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman called President Trump twice on Thursday, urging the U.S. to strike the Houthis as their forces advanced toward a key Red Sea chokepoint, Axios reported.
President Trump declined the request, with U.S. officials indicating there are currently no plans for direct American intervention against the Houthis. CENTCOM commander Adm. Brad Cooper traveled to Riyadh on Thursday for emergency coordination.
