The U.S. State Department has cleared two proposed weapons sales to Saudi Arabia totaling approximately $5.75 billion.
The larger package, valued at an estimated $5 billion, covers extended-range Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAM-ER), with Boeing serving as the principal contractor. A second proposed deal worth $750 million includes AGT-1500 tank engines, with Honeywell as the primary contractor.
