🌧️ 💨 ⚠️ A powerful nor’easter is bearing down on the Tri-State area, with heavy rain, damaging winds and coastal flooding expected from Friday through the weekend. Wind gusts in New York City could reach 55 mph, with powerful winds also expected across New Jersey, particularly along the Jersey Shore. Periods of heavy rain are expected Saturday into Sunday, along with coastal flooding, dangerous surf and significant beach erosion. With Sukkos approaching, make sure your sukkah is very well secured before the strongest winds arrive, particularly the schach, tarps and decorations. Gusts approaching 55 mph can easily tear loose unsecured material, so take the time to check that everything is properly secured ahead of the storm.
