Polish security services held an emergency meeting Sunday after receiving information about a possible assassination plot targeting Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Reuters reports. Officials described the threat as extremely serious, warning there was a high probability it could be carried out. The alert reportedly originated in an email forwarded to police by Poland’s State Protection Service. Authorities have not disclosed further details about the suspected plot.
