Iran has been providing the Houthis with weapons, intelligence, training and direct operational support, helping them launch increasingly sophisticated missile and drone attacks against Saudi Arabia and Saudi-backed Yemeni forces, the WSJ reports. IRGC officers are reportedly assisting Houthi missile, drone and frontline operations. In July, Iranian personnel and weapons components were transported to Yemen aboard Mahan Air flights, prompting Saudi strikes on Sana’a Airport. Iranian support also helped the Houthis capture the strategic port city of Mokha in September, strengthening their control along the Bab al-Mandeb Strait.
