The U.S. has approved up to $414 million in financing for Global Atomic’s Dasa uranium project in Niger, two years after the country expelled American forces, Reuters reports.
The funding for the Canadian-owned project could give the U.S. greater access to strategic uranium supplies while helping rebuild ties with Niger, one of the world’s largest uranium producers.
