An order restricting Ukraine’s access to SpaceX’s military-grade Starshield satellite communications system originated inside the White House, according to Reuters, citing two U.S. officials and a Western official familiar with the decision. Ukrainian officials say the restrictions disrupted drone strikes against Russian forces and logistics, as well as interceptor drones defending against Russian attacks. A senior U.S. official denied that President Trump personally ordered the restrictions, while it remains unclear who inside the White House authorized them.
