Qatari efforts to broker a new agreement between the U.S. and Iran have made little progress, with negotiations “stuck” over Iran’s demand that Washington lift its naval blockade and U.S. demands for nuclear concessions. Axios reports. Iran insists it will only consider nuclear concessions after the U.S. returns to the June memorandum of understanding, while Washington currently sees little reason to compromise. Qatar, Pakistan and Egypt are continuing mediation efforts.
