The Trump administration is locked in a legal battle with California after the Justice Department identified more than 20,000 registered voters it believes are likely noncitizens. The DOJ has sued California, demanding that their mail-in ballots be set aside until citizenship can be verified. California is resisting the demand as the November 3 midterm elections approach.
