More than 125,000 Yemenis, including roughly 57,000 children, have been displaced as the Houthis advance along Yemen’s Red Sea coast and fighting with Saudi-backed forces intensifies, according to the Associated Press.
Thousands of civilians are fleeing areas caught up in the fighting, with some families escaping by boat. The escalating Houthi offensive has raised particular concern around Bab el-Mandeb, one of the world’s most important shipping routes.
