The Justice Department is issuing new grand jury subpoenas to former government officials as it intensifies an investigation into whether members of the U.S. intelligence community conspired against President Trump during investigations involving Russia and the 2016 election, the AP reports. The Florida-based investigation has already included numerous voluntary interviews. Former CIA Director John Brennan has been informed that he is a target as investigators examine whether he falsely testified to Congress, an allegation he denies. It remains unclear whether anyone will ultimately be charged.
