A new issue could complicate U.S. military operations from Israel after the Israel Airports Authority decided Ramon Airport will operate only during daytime hours beginning November 1, Itay Blumental reports. Around 25 American refueling aircraft based there would no longer be able to take off or land at night. U.S. Central Command has requested explanations, while Israeli officials cited staffing shortages and told the Americans they will need to find alternative operational solutions.
