Starting Wednesday, Yashar party chairman Gadi Eisenkot will be guarded directly by the Shin Bet's VIP protection unit, known as Unit 730, according to reports. Shin Bet guards will replace the private security company that has protected the former IDF chief of staff until now. The change comes after protesters gathered outside Eisenkot's home on Sunday, with one calling him a traitor and accusing him of killing his own son, Master Sgt. (res.) Gal Meir Eisenkot, who fell in Gaza in December 2023. The move ends a long dispute over his personal protection.
