Voter turnout in Israel's elections has surged to 55.7% as of 4:00 p.m., compared to just 47.5% at the same time in the 2022 elections, a massive increase of 8.2 percentage points.
Acting Director General of the Central Elections Committee Dean Livne: “If we continue at this pace, we may break the 80% turnout mark by the end of the day.”
Meanwhile Likud has submitted a request to extend the voting hours.
