🇺🇸⚓ US SURGES TRIPLE-CARRIER FORCE TO MIDDLE EAST
- The USS Theodore Roosevelt carrier strike group is deploying to the region, joining the USS George Washington and USS George H.W. Bush under CENTCOM. That makes a rare three-carrier presence.
- The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group and its Marine Expeditionary Unit are also departing, joining the Boxer group already in theater. The deployment is meant as deterrence and to bolster air defense across the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandab Strait and Persian Gulf, and it may allow long-deployed units like the USS Abraham Lincoln to be relieved.
