🇹🇷🇮🇷 Turkish Airlines Cut Iran Flights Through March 2027
- Turkish Airlines, Pegasus, and AJet canceled all Iran flights from September 21, with no bookings until at least March 2027, Middle East Eye reported.
- U.S. “Operation Economic Outcast” sanctions are said to cover even Airbus jets with American parts, leaving Turkish carriers little room to keep flying. Iranian airline Mahan Air also suspended Istanbul and Ankara routes. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Iranian airlines face a worldwide shutdown from September 23 and that firms that keep servicing them risk being cut from the dollar system. Turkey had been one of the last major air links for Iranians.
