Iran’s nuclear chief Mohammad Eslami was blocked from attending the IAEA General Conference in Vienna after Austria denied him entry following pressure from the Trump administration, Bloomberg reports.
Eslami had been scheduled to address the conference on Monday, though a lower-level Iranian representative may speak later in the week. U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright is expected to use the gathering to warn that Iran “must never develop or obtain a nuclear weapon” and demand full cooperation with the IAEA and unrestricted access for inspectors.
